Mechanical / Electrical Engineer – Thermal Power Plant (Adani Power)

Position Overview

We are seeking skilled and motivated Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join thermal power plant operations under Adani Power. The role involves operation, maintenance, and optimization of plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable power generation.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

For Mechanical Engineer

  • Operation and maintenance of critical equipment such as:
    • Boilers, Turbines, Condensers, Pumps, Fans
  • Monitor plant performance and improve efficiency of mechanical systems
  • Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and minimize downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental norms
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams during shutdowns and overhauls
  • Maintain documentation and maintenance records

For Electrical Engineer

  • Operation and maintenance of electrical systems:
    • Generators, Transformers, Switchgear, Motors, HT/LT Panels
  • Monitor load distribution and ensure uninterrupted power supply
  • Handle protection systems, relays, and control circuits
  • Perform testing, commissioning, and fault analysis
  • Ensure electrical safety standards and statutory compliance
  • Support automation and control systems (SCADA/DCS)
  • Prepare reports and technical documentation

Common Responsibilities (Both Roles)

  • Ensure plant availability and reliability targets are met
  • Follow safety protocols and industry standards
  • Participate in plant audits and inspections
  • Work in shifts for continuous plant operations
  • Assist in energy efficiency and cost optimization initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 0–5 years (freshers can apply for trainee roles)
  • Knowledge of thermal power plant systems preferred

Skills Required

  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Basic knowledge of power plant operations
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Work Location

  • Across Adani Power plants (e.g., Mundra, Tiroda, Kawai, Udupi)
